THE CONTEXT
During the midst of a pandemic, we created Sundae Service Creamery to deliver fun, innovative yet familiar and nostalgic flavors to the Asian community in New York. It was a way for us to connect and create a community of ice cream lovers during a time when traditional connection was hard to achieve.
BRAND IDENTITY
THE NAME
Much like your weekly church event, we chose Sundae Service to nourish the soul and create a friendly, inviting feeling at the end of a busy week.
THE DESIGN
We chose a mixture of bright, pastel colors and organic shapes to evoke a playful attitude reflective of our unique and playful flavors.
THE MISSION
1. To fulfill a gap in the market regarding lack of representation in terms of Asian-inspired ice cream
2. To deliver products with all-natural ingredients and eco-friendly packaging straight to your door
3. To support our community by hiring POC delivery drivers & donating 10% of profits to entrepreneurial women in poverty through Grameen America
THE REBRAND
With our transition from making our ice cream from home to having it professionally manufactured at an ice cream plant, I designed new packaging that would pop on the shelves of grocery stores.
