ABOUT THE PROJECT
As students in an "Innovations in Marketing: Brand Strategy" course at New York University, we were tasked to create any new product with just one rule: it must be a one-inch cube. My group created Saffron, a portable device and app that act as a body and food scanner.
POSITION
Brand Strategist & Web Graphic Designer
DURATION
Spring 2020
THE PRODUCT
A body and food scanner that takes nutritional information and combines a personalized meal plan
THE NAME
Why Saffron?
We selected the name based on three factors: health, happiness, and friendliness. As a spice, Saffron is known for its various health benefits as well as its mood-boosting properties. Saffron is also used as a name, allowing our product to seem more human, approachable, and friendly.

THE MISSION
Accessibility: Get access to a personalized meal plan and dietician on the go, all in just a few clicks and at a lower cost than the average in-person visit to a nutritionist.
Personalization: We understand that each body is different; our product gives you a personal plan to fit your individual needs and goals.
Trust: We build and earn your trust by (1) listening only to your body's needs and wants (2) protecting and keeping your data within our network of professionals and, only upon your authorization, with our partners.
Sustainability: With food waste being one of the biggest environmental issues in the industry, we partner with sustainable grocery subscription box, Misfits Market, to help combat this. We also use only sustainable packaging.
Empowerment: Your health and wellbeing start with you. Our mission is to make your needs and desires heard, your individuality shine, and your transformation begin on your terms.
